Yvon Moussirou , born May 6, 1985 in Libreville, is an emblematic figure within the traditional Gabonese community. Known by his insider Kombo, Moutema Mouhetou - literally translated as "the heart of the woman" - Yvon embodies the quintessence of the spiritual guide. Coming from the Puvi ethnic group, he is the direct descendant of a prestigious lineage of Ngangas, healers revered in the practice of bwiti, recognized for their exceptional dedication to the safeguarding of ancestral Gabonese traditions.
Yvon immersed himself from childhood in the vibrant world of traditional rites and ceremonies, building expertise and wisdom beyond his years. His early initiation into various local rituals paved the way to his current status as a leading spiritual figure, making him the guardian and transmitter of these centuries-old practices.
His designation as “initiating father” within the Myoba bwiti of the Ndossi village is much more than a title; it is recognition of his unwavering commitment, his incomparable expertise and the absolute trust placed in him by his peers and his community.
